Le Vieux Pin, Ava 2021

Le Vieux Pin takes its name from a majestic old pine tree which stands in the middle of their vineyards in Canada's Okanagan Valley. The winery was created with a view to pay homage to the great wines of France's Rhone Valley; combining the essence of French winemaking tradition with the fruit and character of Canada - with their wines showcasing a combination of elegance and intensity. Ava 2021 is made from a blend of 53% Roussanne, 30% Viognier and 17% Marsanne: the very essence of white Rhone grapes. Notes of peach, grapefruit zest and yellow plums mingle with white aromatic flowers, herbal tea, and brioche. The wine is matured in a mixture of stainless steel and neutral oak to retain freshness. The palate is richly textured, with beautiful notes of toast, honey and nectarine. A superb wine to pair with herb-crusted poultry.
